Rihla was founded by Richa Pathak Kale as a way to bring her roots to life—through clothing that feels intentional, personal, and beautifully made. Growing up in India, Richa often visited artisan exhibitions with her parents, quietly developing a love for textiles, handmade details, and the human stories behind craft. After working as a lawyer in India, she moved to the U.S. and studied fashion design at Parsons School of Design in New York, where the idea for Rihla began to take shape.
Rihla, which means “journey,” brings together heritage craftsmanship and clean, modern silhouettes made for everyday life. Each piece is crafted in small batches using natural fabrics and azo-free, hypoallergenic dyes, in close collaboration with artisan communities across India. At its heart, Rihla is about slowing down, dressing with care, and finding beauty in the pieces we choose to live in.
